The National Real Estate Broker Rankings

The National Real Estate Investor (NREI.com) recently came out with its world rankings for top producing brokerage companies. The top 3 were CBRE in first position with $97.2 B, Colliers International in second position with $53.8 B, and Cushman & Wakefield in 3rd position with $53 B (we were proud to retain our stronghold on a top 3 position!) . Most notably, Jones Lang LaSalle dropped from 2nd place (usurped by Colliers) all the way down to 4th place with a year over year net change in -$35.9 B in leasing and sale transaction volume.

We threw together this graphic below to demonstrate how drastically the dollar volume of transactions has changed in just 7 short years. With some back of the napkin math, we added up (and compared) the top 3 brokerage houses in the world. You can see that 2007 dwarfed 2003, and that 2010 has brought signs of a return. Thanks to NREI for the data.
