Sourced: Presidio Trust to start $54M in new rehab work at S.F. national park

From the San Francisco Business Times :

“The Presidio Trust will start construction in the next two weeks on the rehabilitation of the Montgomery Street barracks, a $28 million project that will bring 88,000 square feet of office and retail space on line at the national park.

The refurbishing of the brick buildings will kick off the next phase in the revitalization of the Presidio’s Main Post. The buildings are each 44,000 square feet and will cost a little more than $300 a square foot to bring back to life.

The upper floors of the barrack buildings will be marketed as office space; the ground floors, which have front porches, are more suitable for restaurants and shops, according to Presidio Trust Executive Director Craig Middleton.”
