Bay Area COM RE Index – Up 10.19%

Our made-up index since inception is up 10.19%. We’re outpacing the S&P which is only up 9.70% in the same period. This follows in line with our story from this morning about green shoots in the Bay Area and a general sentiment that we are beginning to see signs of growth.

Note that BARE (Bare Escentuals) was removed from the NYSE due to the $1.7 Billion buyout of BE by Shiseido Cosmetics. We’ll be adding another position to make up the difference, SunPower Corporation* (NASDAQ: SPWRA and SPWRB) when trading commences tomorrow. Big winners so far include Del Monte Foods and Autodesk up 27.25% and 26.75% respectively since fund inclusion. Big losers include Zip Car and Gilead down 41.10% and 5.03% respectively since fund inclusion. It’s important to note the Apple is up 24.17% since we began tracking.
