Cassidy Turley Ropes in Another Big Name

Silicon Valley based brokerage firm CPS is joininng the newly formed Cassidy Turley (we reported on the formation of Cassidy Turley last week). The roughly 30 brokers from CPS will begin transitioning into the Cassidy Turley umbrella starting March 1, 2010.

From the CPS website:

“CPS has reached an agreement in principle to join forces with Cassidy Turley BT Commercial to form Cassidy Turley CPS. Together, both rims will be among the founding fathers of Cassidy Turley, a new privately held national firm that will immediately be the coutnry’s fourth largest real estate company.

On or about March 1, 2010 CPS CORFAC International will rebrand as Cassidy Turley CPS. Additionally, as part of the meger, the San Jose office of BT Commercial will rebrand and operate as Cassidy Turley CPS.”

The brokerage landscape is moving closer towards a world of consolidated service providers. 2008 and 2009 saw the merger of Staubach and Jones Lang LaSalle and with the recent Cassidy Turley announcement, there seems to be a bottle-necking of brokerage firms. Does this mean there has been a call to arms by clients for more “corporate” style services providers? We think so. Tenants and Landlord / Investors are navigating an uncertain market these days and having a high level strategic adviser working on a professional platform provides that extra bit of comfort to help them feel their making the right decision.
